I recently saw the film posters for the new Harry Potter film and I thought I should mention them briefly on my blog because they are so good. There are over 20 teaser posters for the new film and they are really effective even though they are quite simple. It is amazing that the film has become so well known that they can place one character on a poster and create a certain mood whereas another character will create different feelings amongst the audience. The setting and colour pallette of the posters help to establish the darker themes that will be in the new film from the franchise that originally appealed to younger children. Hardly any text is presented, which is typical of a teaser poster, but the iconic 'HP' appears as well as varies taglines which help to mirror the events that the audience can expect in the upcoming film.
